Plantar warts can be brownish in color, with a tough consistency and can have both smooth and rough texture. Warts can grow in isolated or in clusters. Generally, they heal themselves, but untreated, in time, they tend to get deeper into the skin layer.
The following natural remedies can get you rid of plantar warts without the need to see a doctor.
Apple vinegar – soak a cotton swab in apple vinegar and apply on warts, then cover with a leucoplast. Before removing the leucoplast, it is advisable to soak the feet in warm water. Warts are sensitive to heat and can disappear within a few weeks if you soak your feet in hot water for 15 minutes daily.
Castor oil – Lubricate and rub the affected area with castor oil 2-3 times a day. The treatment lasts about 2 weeks.
Aloe vera – apply fresh aloe vera gel to the affected area, in a thick layer, several times a day. Every day, cover it with a leucoplast or bandage until the warts begin to dry.
Basil – the leaves contain compounds that kill viruses. Crush a few fresh basil leaves and apply them on warts then tie it with a bandage. Repeat this procedure daily for a week.
Garlic – It has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect being very effective in getting rid of plantar warts. All you have to do is to cut a thin slice of garlic and apply it on the wart then tie it with a bandage. Continue applications until the complete healing of plantar warts.
